Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad	Established on 13th November 2017, BBMKU has 10 constituent and 43 affiliated colleges across Dhanbad and Bokaro districts. It offers UG and PG courses including B.Ed., engineering, and medical programs.
Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee University, Ranchi	Originally Ranchi College, it was founded in 1926 and is now a unitary university. It offers UG and PG courses and has been recognized by UGC for academic excellence.
