About Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC)
The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) was established after the creation of the state of Jharkhand on 15th November 2000. An Act for the establishment of the Jharkhand Academic Council was passed by the Jharkhand State Legislature and was assented to by the Governor of the State on 26th February 2003. It was subsequently notified on 4th March 2003 under the Jharkhand Academic Council Act 2002.
